Makers Workshop

Learn carpentry skills, blacksmithing, basket weaving, brewing and many other hands-on skills - in just one weekend!

This two-day class gives you a chance to explore heritage skills and go home with the items you create.

Our 2024 Makers Workshop will start at 9 am on Saturday, August 24th and run through 4 pm on Sunday, August 24th. Course tuition is $267 per person.

Here's exactly what you'll make (and take home!):

  • a small foot stool-style bench

  • one jug of mead (honey wine) that is beginning to ferment

  • a wicker basket made from vines

  • at least one candle that you have made

  • a wooden bowl and spoon

  • a steel cooking hook and small knife

Quick notes for prospective students:

1) Space is limited to 10 students per class, so claim your spot now!

2) Due to high material costs for this class, we cannot accept BOGO credits for this class at this time. Sorry.

3) We will provide a "one-pot" meal on Saturday night, which you can help us prepare on the open fire. Please let us know if you have dietary restrictions and bring your own bowl and spoon for the meal.

4) Camping on-site is encouraged for Saturday night, as projects will run into the evening. Please bring your own camping gear. A recommended gear list will be sent to you upon enrollment.

5) If you cannot make both days, each day is available by itself. Day one is the Metal and Woodworking class, while day two is the Baskets and Brew class.
